Define and inventory all medical equipment.

Obtain medical engineering services as required.

Obtain the necessary test equipment.

Obtain the necessary publications, equipment manuals etc.

Arrange suitable workshop, storage and office accommodation for  the engineering staff.

Develop the procedures, specifications and other programme components outlined above.

Continue to look for ways of simplifying the system by using efficient techniques, appropriate maintenance solutions, and considering all available technology (such as PC's, PDA's, the internet and the "paperless office" approach). Keep it simple, but get it done!
